Can a cat symptom photo checker diagnose my cat?
No. A photo can show what a problem looks like, such as a rash or eye discharge, but not what’s causing it or how your cat feels. Use the result to decide how soon to call your vet, not as a diagnosis.
When is eye discharge in cats an emergency?
Go the same day if your cat is squinting or holding an eye shut, the eye looks cloudy or injured, or a kitten’s eyes are crusted shut. Watery cat eye discharge with sneezing is often a cat cold and can usually wait for a normal appointment.
What do red gums in cats mean?
A red line along the gums is usually gingivitis, an early sign of dental disease. Pale, white, blue or yellow gums are different: they can mean a serious problem, so go to a vet now.
